Xhorse VVDI2 VAG and Audi A4 2002 RB4 cluster

2002 Audi should be RB4 and at least in North America do not require a dealer pre-programmed key, it adds the 7 byte CS to the key the first time it is programmed (must be virgin id48 or id48 audi can chip if not a key already programmed to the car before).

If you can re-enable the immobilizer try with the pincode using vcds or similar tool. Watch out for lock times, could have been the cause in the first place. It should also only have a 4-digit skc (plus leading zero), so keep that in mind. At least in North America I have not seen an RB8 cluster before 2005.5 (not sure if it can be retrofitted but have not seen one from the factory that way)

 

To check if it’s non or crypto, the case on RB4 cluster has simple solutions with Pin. If you get 5 digit pin you have NONE crypt cluster. Also you can compare Immo block with Crypt one and there will be big difference.I always said , it is not tool that makes perfect job , it is person who using it.
When you read cluster there will never be damage.
Damage comes with writing.

 

To deal the dash with vvdi2 auto detect , sometimes it works but sometimes it doesn’t . i just find out that its not working most the times. I’ve done many and they have worked but this car didn’t. so i guess like the members here said , get pin code from ECU and adapt it with VCDS

 

 

NOTE:

can’t simply get another dump, then make it virgin, then use the pin from ecu + vcds to adapt the dash.

Run VVDI2 VAG software

Select Key learn in the menu

Then 4th immobilizer system – copy 48 transponder:

Step 1

Copy 48 procedure require PIN and component security bytes from cars

Select Get component security from engine control unit via obdii

 

Step 2

Connect the emulator to VVDI2 commander and switch ON ignition with the emulator, switch OFF/ON for 3 times

(attention: it requires OBD when lost all key)

 

Step 3

Decode the collected data via internet, and save the “calculate 48 data”. You can copy/prepare key with “calculate 48 data”

(attention: every success calculation will cost 100 remote points)

 

Step 4

Learn the new key with “calculate 48 data”. If the key was made by copy, it can start engine without learn

 

[Note 1] About new adapter Vvdi2:

some nec24c32 nec24c64 nec35XX all key lost not need remove instrument.(need read cs from ecu).

 

[Note 2] About copy 48 function on VVDI2:
(1) Authorize copy 48 function require 1000 remote points, require buy an extra emulator
(2) You can exchange it with “Transponder Programmer -> Menu -> Points System”
(3) Every success calculate will cost 100 remote points

VVDI2 BMW review:

i did yesterday CAS1 bmw read eeprom by obd and got key info and cutting code

vvdi2 bmw can make key in bmw ews direct by obd or need read ews dump by programmer then make key

i have a vvdi2 with vag and bmw authroization

have to programmed new keys in bmw (bmw e90 2008 USA year), without keyless go

in original key inside transponder pcf7953 315mhz

My hint for you: Chinese keys work only transponder but remote need to remove cas and do it on bench on tango or xhorse vvdi, but obd method need always original for better chance chip is 7945 or 7953 which is 46 family good luck

But sadly only work for Condor key cutting machine users

VVDI2 AUDI review:

Vvdi2 able to do Control head on A6

need Transponder Sokymat Crypto 8E – Audi ID8E precoded by Component Security.

VVDI2 key learn procedure for Audi A4 RB8 crypto (2004+) option:

Just read the pin and cs from ecu.
Make backup from cluster, and the cluster configuration.
Then make a dealer key, and learn it with pin.

Did one Audi S8 done successfully, spare key job

AUdi a4 2009 BCM2 key added successfully in 2 minutes.

I did Audi Q5 add key ok, read BCM2 by OBD ok, read BCM2 by bdm ok.
Passat B6 all key lost by eep ok.

Remote programmer test remote for Audi A3 8P 434, not working.
Not file for Golf 5 434.
Test remote generator Ibiza 6J “1k0 …. N” 434 working.

VAG remote key adaptation does not connect to many old cars but usually works fine with newer “dealer keys”. However, Audi A4 2008 did not connect to car (BCM or BFM). Key programming ok.

On a side note: A4 2008 do not have BCM, models 2009 + has BCM.

I successfully added a key bcm2 on a 2013 audi a5.

2007 Audi A4 B7 RB8 crypto – mileage correction ok

Audi BCM2 add spare key by obd worked fine, and I did one on a 2013 A5 and it worked flawlessly.

A6/Q7 EZS Kessy: Added a dealer key (remote sourced from the dealer) without issues. Seemed to read everything properly but I had a working key to begin with.

Audi A6: Testet with A6 read kessy working, learned new key

Audi A4 2006 : mileage correction success .

Audi A6 2003: Mileage correction fail. car not start. remove battery terminal. car start.

 

VVDI 2 & others:

Peugeot 308 2008 BSI JC pin extracted OK. Key learn failed – first key OK, second key failed. Tried several times. Job finished with other device.

BENZ a class 0D69J file identified ok, but write transponder not work

Skoda Octavia 2006: got CS & PIN , programmed key fine, but not remote programming.

VW passat. B5: Pulled PIN, programmed key, corrected miles.

VW Passat B6 2009: Pulled PIN but couldn’t get 6 bytes CS, needed comfort dump.

VW Transporter T5 2006 : Pulled PIN Programmed key, no remote programming.
