Here are two methods to fill code for 2006 Chevrolet Silverado GM39.
Case:
The car door is missing three cuts including 1, 2 and 10.
We can do a code fill.
Method 1: by Xhorse Dolphin XP005/XP005L
Select Vehicle database>> Chevrolet>> Silverado>> 2000-2006>> GM39
It automatically loads the correct key profile
It lost first, 2, and we can read 344-2131, and the last one is missing.
We can click “Find bitting”
All the code results will appear on the screen
It will take me 5 keys to figure all this out.
However, though if you go looking to the codes the first one CB64 that does not match the codes series of the truck.
Method 2: Use third party service- G code
Visit gcodeonline.com
This is G code and I’ve got this all filled out already. I press “OK” and it comes back with to only 2 results and you can also see that is the correct code series and since this only takes two keys, this is a lot faster, this is one of the only problems I have found with Xhorse. But it’s because this particular key way the GM runs under multiple different code systems, so it’s pulling from I want to call it a global code system and it’s actually not even looking at the correct series now not saying that it won’t find the correct one.
Eventually we know the last cuts of two for sure from that other result and we look G-code. The very first one is 133 S881D. It’s the same as HZ59 in Xhorse, that’s not a code in the United States.
So it’s a great idea to use a third party progression chart or fill code especially when working with GM. and on this one the first code was the one that worked and I didn’t waste any leys at all and I was able to finish this job and I want to say like be 12 minutes, the picking did not take very long. The coding didn’t take very long and then I would’ve cut all 15 keys like this thing shows it would’ve taken me forever. So sometimes the Xhorse APP is not always the best. G- Code is available to use and it comes with a seven-day free trial and then it’s $99 a year. It’s not too bad.
