I have a vvdi bimtool pro. I used the newest software v1.6.2 to read isn for my bmw msd81, but it failed. I tried many times, all failed. An error message appeared “Upload part (1/2): Programming ECU… Failed! Failed to update part 1…” as below.

Require firmware V1.4.1

If this method cannot solve the problem, please try to use VVDI2 to read ISN to recover the ECU.
