A customer reported an issue after receiving the Xhorse MQB48 Adapter for the VVDI MLB Tool. When attempting to collect data, he encountered the error message:
“The current power supply quality is critically low, making it impossible to collect valid data.”
To troubleshoot, he did the something below:
- Updated the software
- Verified both USB cables were properly connected
- Replaced the EEPROM that came with the MQB48 Adapter
Despite these efforts, the issue persisted, even when tested on two different laptops.

Please use USB cable directly from PC according to the images below.
Voltage 5V, Current not exceeding 0.5A
The MQB48 Adapter can only be plugged into a computer or VVDI Key Tool Plus Pad via USB cable. PC is recommended.
Also double-check the wiring diagram, if everything is fine but still cannot collect data, please download the software VVDI MLB Tool 2.0.4.2
Put it in the installation directory. Double-click to open it directly and try again.
