It is a little difficult to solder wire when using Xhorse VVDI MLB Tool. Xhorse newly released VVDI MLB Solder Free Adapter to skip the soldering process. They can be used to work with MLB Tool to add spare MLB keys for VW, Audi, Lamborghini, Bentley, and Porsche. No need to solder. Only need to remove 2 capacitors using a plier.

Let’s see how they work.

Step 1: Connect the device and remove the original key capacitors

i.e. use with Key Tool Plus

Connect the Xhorse MLB Tool to VVDI Key Tool Plus Pad using an OTG converter.

• The USB A to C Cable is connected to MLB Tool.
• The USB (OTG) Cable is connected to the Xhorse Key Tool Plus.

Select Immo Programming>> Audi >> Select by Type>> MLB Immobilizer Systems>> Start Programming

Select Connection diagram>> the corresponding key type (i.e. Type 3 Audi/Bentley) to check the wiring diagram

Follow the diagram to remove the two capacitors from the original key

Step 2: Connect the  MLB Solder-Free Adapter to Original MLB Key Board

Take the key with the capacitors removed

And connect it using the alignment points on both sides

Make fine adjustments to ensure proper

Fasten the clips securely:

The short side of the buckle should face upwards.

The long side, marked in white, should face downwards.

Step 3: Connect MLB Tool and MLB Solder-Free Adapters

Attach the  Xhorse MLB Adapter to the key.

Connect the MLB Adapter to the MLB Tool, and ensure it is properly positioned in the sensing area

After connection, you can add spare MLB keys by MLB Tool and Xhorse Key Tool Plus.
