This tutorial provides a step-by-step guide on preparing and using the Xhorse Key Cutting Machine for adding keys and handling all key lost scenarios for HU162T 8-cut, 9-cut, and 10-cut keys. This guide applies to machines like Dolphin XP005L, Condor XC-MINI Plus II, and others.
1.Distinguishing HU162T Key Types
- HU162T 8-Cut:
Features: 1 fixed side cut, straight profile.
Effective Surface: Top.
- HU162T 9-Cut:
Features: 3 side cuts.
Effective Surface: Top.
- HU162T 10-Cut:
Features: 4 side cuts.
Effective Surface: Bottom.
2.Operation Guide
- HU162T 8-Cut Add Key
Open the Xhorse APP
Navigate: Cut by Bitting > HU162T > Silca – HU162T > 8-1 Bitting
Follow on-screen prompts to position the original key on the clamp.
Click “Decode Key”.
Select the A-axis or B-axis option (upper left corner).
Switch to the B-axis bitting page where the cut for the B-axis is fixed as number 1.
After decoding, proceed to cut the key.
- HU162T 8-Cut All Keys Lost
Use the 2-in-1 pick to read the key bitting or dismantle the lock to retrieve the lock plate number.
In the Xhorse APP:
Select “All Key Lost Calculation”
Input the key bitting from the 2-in-1 pick and lock plate number.
No manual conversion is needed.
Click “Calculate” > “Complete” > “Cut Key”.
- HU162T 9-Cut Add Key
Identify the B-axis as the axis with a notch.
Open the Xhorse APP:
Navigate: Cut by Bitting > HU162T > Silca – HU162T > 9-3-3 Bitting
Position the original key as prompted.
Click “Decode Key”.
After decoding, cut the key.
Tip: After decoding the A-axis bitting, the B- and C-axis bittings are automatically calculated.
- HU162T 9-Cut All Keys Lost
Use the 2-in-1 pick to read the key bitting or dismantle the lock to get the lock plate number.
Note: There are 6 front cuts and 3 side cuts in the lock. Complete bitting must be calculated in the Xhorse APP.
Open the Xhorse APP:
Navigate: Cut by Bitting > HU162T > Silca – HU162T > 9-3-3 Bitting.
Use the Missing Cut Search Function to address missing locking plates.
For “All Key Lost Calculation”, choose:
Door->Ignition or Ignition->Door, depending on the scenario
Enter bitting data from the 2-in-1 pick or lock plate number for front bitting and side bitting.
If using the 2-in-1 pick:
Navigate to Sided Bitting Calculate.
Select angles before and after opening.
Tip: Read the non-elastic side before opening and the elastic side after opening.
Once all bittings are calculated, click “Complete” and proceed to cut the key.
- HU162T 10-Cut Add Key
Identify the B-axis as the axis with a notch.
Open the Xhorse APP:
Navigate: Cut by Bitting > HU162T > Silca – HU162T > 10-4-4 Bitting
Position the original key as prompted.
Click “Decode Key”.
After decoding, cut the key.
Tip: After decoding the A-axis bitting, the B- and C-axis bittings are automatically calculated.
- HU162T 10-Cut All Keys Lost
Use the 2-in-1 pick to read the key bitting or dismantle the lock to get the lock plate number.
