Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Max Pro is a powerful and popular tool for locksmiths. In this post, we will explore this device in detail from the main screen, interfaces, and cables. Hope it help you maximize its potential in your daily work.
PART I: Main Screen
1.[Middle Menu Options]

The latest updates of the devices like the database, firmware, etc.
- Product
Xhorse product line with function intros to each device.
- Shop
This is a bonus points mall to redeem the points for gifts, such as remotes, remote parts, device parts, etc.
Note: Points can be acquired by generating Xhorse remotes.
- Support centre
This option contains three helpful options: HU162T all key lost, Help, and Network detection.
[HU162T all key lost]: You can access HU162T all keys lost calculating here.
[Network detection]: When the device fails to connect to the network, you can detect the network by using this feature.

[Feedback and suggestion] is where Xhorse collects feedback and suggestions. You can access Customer Service directly here, send Xhorse any suggestions and feedback here, or file a complaint if there’s any customer service personnel who is not dealing with your question well.
2.[Setting Options]
The setting button is in the upper left corner. After tapping on the button, you can see many useful options.
Select
KEY TOOL MAX PRO can connect the key cutting machine by using Bluetooth to operate: tap on the interface [Select], the interface displays the current connectable device, and select the device to be connected according to the serial number.
WLAN connection
It’s the WiFi connection control center.
Language
You can select the device language here. For certain devices, only the local dealer is authorized to change it to your local language.
APP setting
In [APP setting], you can choose to toggle on the voice prompt and also hide devices.
Settings
In [Settings], you can change the system settings very easily including the volume, screen brightness, sleep time, etc.
3.[Shortcut Key Options]
In the upper right corner, you’ll see shortcut keys. Now let’s learn about the options included.
Scan
[Scan] can be used to scan a QR code to log in to your Cloud data or to combine devices with your account.
Customer service
Access customer service to get real-time technical support.
KEY TOOL MAX PRO/DOLPHIN/MINI PROG
You can switch to MAX PRO, DOLPHIN and other Xhorse Key Cutting Machines or MINI PROG screen to access other functions.
4.[Bottom Menu Options]
AI
AI icon is to scan the vehicle’s VIN number. For certain vehicles, vehicle info can be obtained after scanning yet some vehicle info is not available.
Points
Tapping [Points], you can check the amount of points you have acquired, used, transferred, and your ranking.
[Points composition]: Show the source of your points. For example, you combine 10 devices and your points will come from these 10 devices.
[Points ranking]: Show your points ranking in our system.
Customer Service
Access customer service to get real-time technical support.
Account
Tapping the [Account] button, you’ll see the devices you’ve combined, unbind devices if needed, your repair history and other info.
PART II: Ports and Cables
Next, we’ll mainly talk about the ports and cables of VVDI KEY TOOL MAX PRO and the cables coming with the tool.
OBD to DB15 Cable
It is used to connect the device and the vehicle. On the device, you’ll see [Immo programming] which will need this cable.
USB Cable
USB cable is used to charge the device and for data transfer.
Remote Programming Cable
Connect the wired remote to generate the remote.
Leakage Detection Cable
Used for remote leakage and voltage detection.
High-frequency detection area
It’s a coil for detecting chips and remote frequencies and generating remotes. Meanwhile, you can also copy IC or ID cards using this area.
ON/OFF power button
Long press the button to access functions like [Read Transponder], [Tansponder Clone], [Frequency detection], [Flashlight] and also to shut down or restart the device.
Low-frequency detection collector
Here’s a detection collector that functions for cloning transponder, ID46 and ID48 signal detection, and vehicle low-frequency detection.
Immo transponder placement hole
This tiny hole is used to generate the transponder, such as the Xhorse XT27A super transponder.
Status indicator
When the device is turned on or charging, the POW indicator light is on. When the device is working, the CON indicator is on. And this light will be flashing when updating. It also indicates the battery level.
LED flashing light & CMOS camera
On the back of Xhorse Key Tool MAX Pro, you can find the LED flashing light and the camera which could help you when detecting or taking photos.
