There is something wrong with my dolphin xp005. When duplicating a key today, it finished tracing, and then locked up and wouldn’t do anything else. Tried restarting it, did the upgrades I could do. And still have this on there. Could somebody who has knowledge with this advice about how to get firmware downloaded. I was sent a couple sites, but none have seen to have worked for me. I was able to update firmware from computer. But all is updated, but key tool still shows needing update global v72 but when checking, it’s updated.


Don’t sweat it…it’s gonna show that for a couple of days…then, it’ll stop…once it’s updated, it’s updated. Yep, I run the latest software and firmware on all of my devices and NEVER have any problems… (other than user error)…

If you still cannot solve the problem, please operate step by step by the following solution

1.Update Xhorse Upgrade kit to the newest version 1.7.4:


2.Install DOLPHIN Driver from the Xhorse Upgrade Kit folder (if you have installed before, ignore this step)

3.Connect Dolphin XP005 key cutting machine to the computer via USB cable

4.Then select device “DOLPHIN 1”, upgrade version 1.5.0 and click “Find Device”, then click “Upgrade”

Note: If the connection between device and computer is normal and device driver has been recognized successfully, just click Upgrade directly.

5.Wait a moment until the process is done!

Note: Don’t turn off the software or unplug the USB cable during the upgrade process!
