Step 1: Read MQB48 Data by VVDI MLB Tool

1.Connect the MQB48 Adapter:

• Connect the MQB48 adapter to the VVDI MLB Tool.
• Disassemble the key shell to remove the circuit board.
• Follow the provided wiring diagram to connect the circuit board to the MQB48 adapter.

2.Launch MLB Tool Software:

• Open the MLB Tool software.
• Select MQB48 and then choose Identification Key, and click OK.

3.Collect Key Data:

• Click Collect Key Data and then OK to proceed.
• Once successful, the server will process the calculation.

4.Verification:

• After calculation, place the key back into the device’s identification area and click OK for verification.

5.Restore the Key:

• Once verification is successful, restore the key to its original state.
• Click OK to save the MQB NEC35XX immo data.

6.Save the Dump File:

• The immo data can now be used for generating dealer keys and key learning.
• Save the dump file to use it for key programming with Xhorse devices.

Step 2: Make Dealer Key by VVDI Key Tool Plus

1.Transfer the File

• Transfer the saved immo data file from your PC to the VVDI Key Tool Plus Programmer.

2. Choose Key Type

• You can program either an Xhorse MQB48 Key or an OEM key based on your preference.

3.Begin Immobilizer Programming

• Navigate to Immo Programming
• Select EUROPE → VW → Select by Type → MQB Instrument Immo System
• Choose Instrument – NEC35xx (Continental/VDO)
• Click Start Programming

4.Generate a Dealer Key

• Click Generate Dealer Key
• Load the previously saved immo data
• Select VW → Prepare Normal Dealer Key
• Confirm with OK
• Select Yes to proceed

5.Add a New Key

• Insert an original working key into the device and press OK
• When prompted, choose to Save the Synchronization Data

This allows you to prepare a dealer key with synchronization data in case all keys are lost.

• Press Yes to save the file

6．Finalize Key Preparation

• Insert the new key into the Key Tool Plus Programmer
• The system will confirm: “Prepare dealer key success!”
• Finally, learn the new dealer key to the car to complete the process

Step 3: Add Key by Xhorse Key Tool Plus

1. Initiate Key Learning
   • Select Learn Key → Yes
   • Retrieve the login code from the immo data to log in.
2. Insert and Prepare All Keys
   • Follow the on-screen prompts to insert the key into the ignition switch.
   • Ensure all car keys are prepared, as any key not learned will no longer start the vehicle.
3. Set Key Parameters
   • Input the number of keys to be learned: 2
   • When prompted, confirm: Is the new key keyless? → Yes
4. Perform Key Programming
   • Keep the key close to the sensing coil and click OK.
   • Warning: Do not turn off the ignition or press the start button until learning is completed!
5. Completion & Testing
   • The system will confirm: Matching Completed!
   • Remove the programming device from the vehicle.
   • Test the key’s intelligent functions to ensure proper operation.
   • If issues arise, interference may be affecting the key’s functionality.

Final Step: Test the newly programmed key—it should now work perfectly!
