Customer problem:
Creating a dealer key for Audi/Volkswagen seems to be broken/not working in VVDI2 update 7.3.0.
I have had three vehicles since updating software (USA 2014 VW Passat Keyless NEC24C64, USA 2011 Jetta NEC24C32, USA 2017 Volkswagen Jetta MQB 4.5 NEC2464) where vvdi2 can not make a dealer key correctly using immo data for either (normal dealer key option) or (OEM id option) tried both superchip and glass 48 chip. It will lock the chip and even show the correct id, but when going to key learning it shows dealer key no.
Was able to use immo data read by vvdi2 and make a dealer key using the 12 byte CS on Autel tool no problem, and then learn the same key using vvdi2?
Hopefully there will be a fix/update because up until this point, vvdi2 has been extremely reliable in the past when making dealer keys.
The solution:
It’s a software issue. Just downgrade to VVDI2 V7.2.7 and everything works perfectly.
Under the upgrade tool, you can go 1 version back.
