Xhorse has released a significant firmware upgrade, introducing key cloning functionality for BMW G/U chassis vehicles equipped with BDC03 and BCP systems. This enhancement provides users with expanded capabilities for BMW key programming.
License & Activation Requirements
The BDC3 key cloning feature is automatically available to all users with an active BMW G BDC2 license—no additional adapters or payments required. Users without existing BDC2 authorization can activate a new license to unlock both BDC2 and BDC3 functionality simultaneously.
Key Compatibility & Usage
- Supported key types include VVDI dedicated keys (available soon) or original OEM keys
- Service is provided with free calculation—no point deductions apply
Important restriction:
- Only original keys labeled “Hungary” can be cloned
- Keys labeled “Mexico” are permanently locked and cannot be processed

Compatible devices include:
- Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus Pad(fully ready)
- Xhorse VVDI2 (requires external BDC3 key data reading by VVDI Prog or Multi-Prog)
- Xhorse Key Tool MIDI (requires external BDC3 key data reading by VVDI Prog or Multi-Prog)
Current Development Status
- Key Tool Plus BDC3 function is fully operational
- VVDI Prog and Multi Prog BDC3 functions remain in testing phase
- Test using function 19 in VVDI Prog or function 199 in Multi Prog
Operation Process
Extract original key data using VVDI Prog/Multi Prog, then load the data into VVDI2/Key Tool Plus/Key Tool MIDI to complete key programming. Detailed pinout diagrams for BMW BDC3 key are available in the software.
