Xhorse has introduced a direct EEPROM data method on VVDI Key Tool Plus to disarm active alarm systems on late-model Ford vehicles during all-keys-lost (AKL) scenarios—without requiring a dedicated Ford AKL bypass cable.
Feature Overview & Operational Logic
- Data Backup:Reads and saves the module’s target EEPROM dump directly.
- Emergency Key Generation:Similar to Toyota emergency key creation, the saved data is written onto an Xhorse universal smart key (such as an XM38) to emulate an existing, valid key.
- Alarm Disarming:The generated XM38 smart key acts as an emulator to silence and deactivate the vehicle’s active alarm.
- Master Key Programming:Once the alarm is neutralized, a second Xhorse XM38 universal smart key can be programmed into the system as the primary master key.
Note: Compatibility varies by model. Check the vehicle menu on your Key Tool Plus interface to confirm support for specific Ford models.
