Xhorse VVDI Remote mainly contains four types: wired remote, wireless remote, super remote, and smart key. In this post, you will learn how to distinguish them from the appearance and the models they can generate.
1.VVDI Wired Remote= XK Series
There are more than 60 exquisite appearance to choose from.
When generating, we need to use a programming cable to connect it and the device (such as VVDI Mini Key Tool)
*Don’t install battery when generating, or the generation will fail.
2.VVDI Wireless Remote= XN Series, VVDI Super Remote= XE Series
VVDI Super remote has two triodes while wireless remote does not have.
Both remotes have an inductor on the back.
When they are generated, the battery needs to be installed. Otherwise, they cannot be detected and generated by the device.
Generate remote with Xhorse Mini Key Tool or other devices:

- *It does not support ID47 and ID49.
3.Xhorse Smart Key= XS Series
It can be mainly divided into NXP smart key and XM38 smart key.
- NXP Smart Key:
The transponder in NXP smart key is 2953 or 29A1.
NXP smart key has a wide range of styles including KING Card, SW-007, etc.
It supports 46, 47, MQB48, MQB49, and 4A, but doesn’t support 4D and 8A.
It has an XM38 transponder inside, and it can be divided into two types including XM38 TOY.T smart key and XM38 universal smart key. They have a 3D inductor on the back. Both can generate all proximity options including 4D, 8A, and all types supported by NXP smart key (46, 47, MQB48, MQB49, and 4A, etc.), but XM38 universal smart key cannot generate for Toyota.
