How to add a new smart key to 2008 Honda Civic FD by Xhorse Key Tool Max Pro?
The Civic FD key is an on board chip body that someone who can’t go down separately. This one must use an onboard chip only.
It can be programmed via Immo programming and remote programming.
If use remote programming, select Honda CIVIC FD_433_ID46 2161 option, and use XN Wireless Remote to work with.
If use IMMO programming, select Honda CIVIC Immo system-46 (2006-2011) option, and follow the instruction to do.
In this case, let’s see how to add new key with immo programming function.
Connect Key Tool Max Pro and vehicle’s OBD port via the OBD cable
After selecting the corresponding options, tap “IMMO programming”.
Close the keys- turn off the device and twist the on first.
Tap “Add a key”
Follow the on-screen prompts to operate step by step:
Turn off ignition switch
Insert the programmed key (working key), switch ignition on
Turn off ignition switch
Then turn on the ignition switch
If no response within 10 seconds, turn off/on the ignition switch again.
Turn off ignition switch
Insert the new key and switch ignition on within 15 seconds
Then turn off ignition switch
Switch ignition on… off…on…off
Check if the green light is turned off (the green color is a key).
It has gone out. Click “Yes”
Turn off ignition switch, and then turn on
Key programming is completed.
Try the start test, works fine.
The chip is programmed in, and the remote will function immediately. No need to add more remote. Because this is a chip version on the board.
