Problem:
I tried to add a key to a 2019 VW Touran (MQB48) using Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus. I was able to read via OBD, but none of the menu options worked. So, I removed the dashboard. The processor is model A2C53288154, and I can’t find any wiring diagram for it. The key also can’t be read using MQB48 MLB tool because there’s no diagram available for that either. Is there any solution?
Solution:
This uses an immobilizer type 4.5. There are no wiring diagrams available for the key. The 2019 VW Transporter has the same issue.
This dashboard type is similar to a VW T6. It uses an NEC3425 chip with an external 24C64 EEPROM. Currently, no tool fully supports this dashboard for immobilizer or key programming—except SMOK, which has released a version for it.
You cannot read the data from firmware version 2050 and above. These versions are locked, so the EEPROM service mode is not accessible.
The only solution is to purchase the immobilizer data.
