Follow this step-by-step guide to set up your Xhorse Condor XC-002 Pro Key Cutting Machine for the first-time use.
- Assemble the Z-Axis Arm
- Locate the Z-axis bracket and place it onto the Z-axis hub (top right side of the machine). Align the holes.
- Find the Z-axis arm (bolt removed), and insert it into the aligned socket of the hub.
- Insert the bolt from the bottom and tighten securely.
- The Z-axis arm can be adjusted to reduce or eliminate vertical movement during cutting.
- Install the X/Y Axis Arm
- Locate the X/Y axis arm and remove its attached nut.
- Insert the arm through the mounting points at the bottom left of the machine and the clamp base.
- Replace and tighten the nut to secure the arm.
- Adjust the Y-Axis Brakes
- At the front of the clamp base, you’ll find two knobs:
- Left knob: Controls total Y-axis movement and tension.
- Right knob: Sets the “Max Key Cut Space.”
- Insert the Clamp
- Slide the clamp into the base from right to left.
- Align it based on the key type:
- A position: Single-sided keys
- B position: High-security keys
- C position: Double-sided keys
- Tighten the clamp stop once the clamp is correctly positioned for the key.
- Install the Milling Cutter and Tracer
- Choose the proper milling cutter and tracer.
- Tracer goes on the left
- Milling cutter goes on the right
- Loosen each chuck by pushing its respective handle fully outward.
- Insert the tools, then return the handles to their center position to secure them.
Note:
There is a dimple action switch on top of the tracer chuck that provides springiness for inner dimple cutting.
Make sure the switch is fully turned clockwise before aligning or cutting. Incorrect position may cause cuts to go deeper than intended.
- Power On and Cut Alignment
- Plug in the power cable at the back and flip the power switch to ON.
- Press the power button on the machine’s right face to begin operation.
- Insert and secure the tracer and milling cutter again if needed.
- Perform cut alignment by ensuring both the tracer and cutter touch the clamp or key evenly.
- A green light on the alignment guide means correct alignment.
- A red light indicates one side is touching first. Loosen the higher side and retighten until the light turns green.
- Set Cutter RPM and Begin Cutting
- Adjust cutter speed between 6,500–10,500 RPM depending on your need for speed or accuracy.
- The cutter activates when you apply downward pressure to the arm and stops when the arm returns to the top position.
