Customer problem:
I used Xhorse Key Tool Max Pro and Autel key programmer to add the key to my 2016 Audi A4 all keys lost. But the Xhorse key was not working. I tried to generate all the possible options that I missed, but failed to generate the dealer key and write key. Do I need an original key? Will it make a difference if I try to do it with OBD? Not through the programmer?

The problem is Autel can’t generate dealer key in Xhorse remote.
You can write it with Autel, but you can’t prepare Dealer key with Autel on VVDI remote.
Actually, get a regular aftermarket Audi key that will solve it.
You don’t have to do it with OBD. It can be done on the bench completely without OBD. But you need to work with VVDI2 or VVDI Key Tool Max (Pro).
