Customer problem:
I use my new Dolphin XP005L and key tool max pro to cut Hon66. It is already calibrated. When I send the order to cut, it reaches 1%, the red light comes on and prompts “error code 42”. I already tried another cutter and tried, but the error still exists.
Here is the suggestion:
Step 1: Make sure the work area is clear and clean. No shavings on the clamp at all.
Step 2: Do ‘Height Level Adjustment’. After performing that, try to cut your key again.

If you did a firmware update, you have to perform it AGAIN.
If you already did the Height level adjustment, and it’s not seeing the probe & cutter at the same height, then it might need to be sent in for service.
