Step-by-Step Guide: Learning Method
Car model: Ford Transit
Tool used: VVDI Key Tool Max Pro
Ensure TPMS feature is activated via free software upgrade.
Step 1: Generate Sensor IDs
Tap [TPMS] on the main menu of Key Tool Max Pro
Select Search by OEM number-> Search by model number-> Ford-> Transit-> 2020.01-2022.12 (JMC 433MHz)
Three functions are available: Active, Program and Learn.
Each function has the corresponding instruction.
Choose Program-> Automatic Creation
Place the tool near the new sensor and press OK to start programming.
The tool will generate four random sensor IDs.
Step 2: Install Sensors
Mount the newly programmed sensors onto the vehicle’s wheels.
Step 3: Enter Vehicle Learning Mode
Turn the ignition OFF.
Press the brake for 1 second
Turn the ignition ON, then OFF — repeat 3 times.
Press and release the brake pedal once more.
Turn the ignition ON/OFF another 3 times.
A horn beep and message “Please calibrate the left front wheel” indicates learning mode is active.
Step 4: Activate Sensors in Sequence
Activate each Xhorse sensor by Xhorse Key Tool Max Pro in this exact order:
Left Front → Right Front → Right Rear → Left Rear
Tap “Activate” for each sensor location.
A horn beep will confirm each successful activation.
After all sensors are activated, the dashboard will display “Learning Complete”.
Critical Tips for Success:
✔ Speed Matters: Complete steps promptly to avoid timeout failures.
✔ Minimize Interference: Keep defective/unused sensors >10 meters away during the process.
✔ Post-Activation Test: Some vehicles may require a short drive (100-200 meters) to finalize synchronization.
