Here is how to resolve the error message: ‘The device is not allowed to be used in the current region!’ on the Xhorse Bluetooth Digital Smart Key.

Step 1: Reset the Device

Press and hold the start button for 20s on the Xhorse Bluetooth Smart Key until the device resets.

Step 2: Connect the Device by an iPhone

Open the Xhorse “SmartKey Box” App on your iPhone.

Go to Settings → Device Management.

Select your device from the list to pair via Bluetooth.

Once connected, tap “Learn current phone”.

After successful learning, the device will function normally.

Tap “Complete” to finish the setup.

The car will automatically lock when Bluetooth is disconnected.

Step 3: Verify the Device Version

To ensure everything is configured correctly:

Go to Settings → Update in the app.

Confirm that the device shows the “GL” version.

Step 4: Reset the Device Again and Connect by an Android Phone

As a final step:

Reset the Xhorse Digital Smart Key once more.

Then, connect it using an Android phone.

This should fully resolve the regional restriction issue.
