Have a 2017 Toyota VELLFIRE car, and use Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Max Pro to add a new smart key with the original key via OBD perfectly.

First, connect Key Tool Max Pro to the vehicle via OBD cable

Check the chip type of the working key

Select Transponder clone function and put the original key to the coil of KeyTool Max Pro to read the transponder

It is 8A A9 (learned).

Then, select Remote clone function to check the frequency

The original key is 315.69 MHz, and the blank key is 312.51MHz.

Next, start to program key

Select IMMO Programming function

Press the start button twice to turn the ignition on, and the car’s dashboard lights up.

Tap TOYOTA>> Select by type>> Smart key after 2016>> Type 2 (8A-Page P4 A8/A9/AA)>> Immo & programming>> Add smart keys

Make sure VVDI Key Tool Max Pro is connected to Internet

Turn the ignition on

Read out the software number

It prompts the number of registered keys is 3, and the keys remaining to be registered is 4.

Keep touching the ignition switch with sign surface of a registered key, complete the operation within 30 seconds

There is a double beep signal, hold the new smart key touch until it’s completed.

Now the registered key number is 4

Register key successfully

Test the remote, start function, step on the brake, all work fine!
