Today we’re going to use Xhorse VVDI2 to program a spare key on a 2007 BMW 1 series.

Part 1: Make dealer key with VVDI2
1.Detect car type and get key cutting code
Connect VVDI2 programmer to the vehicle via the OBD2 cable, and connect to computer via the USB cable
Run VVDI2 Quick Start
Select Key Learn-> CAS Key Learn
Detect car type automatically
Then click “Connect”
The ignition isn’t on and it’s communicated.
It detect out the car type and car info incl. key cutting code successfully.
Note: the key cutting code will be used to cut a blade key using CGDI Godzilla cutter.
2.Get key info
Click “Get key info”
Choose “Add key” method, follow the prompt to insert the working key into ignition and connect device with car before continue
The dealer key should be taken away from ignition switch.
Save the original key data successfully, then click “Save key info” to save it
3.Prepare dealer key
Choose one key position unused (enable) and click “Prepare dealer key with programmer”
Then put a new key into the VVDI2 programmer
Confirm whether the new key has keyless, it doesn’t have, so click “No” to continue
Now the car has been made and locked.
Use it to start the car.
If it cannot start the engine, use “Add key” function to add the dealer key to CAS system.
If it can start the engine, but the keyless is not working, use “Repair keyless key” function to do.
Test the key can start the car normally and the central lock-in works well, so it’s done!
Part 2: Cut blade key with CGDI Godzilla
Turn on CGDI Godzilla automatic key cutting machine
Go to Vehicle database-> BMW-> 1 series-> Key embryo HU92R
Put the blade key on the key cutter correctly
After that, put the new blade key to cut both sides.
When the procedure is done, test the key, both work well.
