Purpose: To check if Xhorse Mini Prog and VVDI Key Tool Max can program a new key to a 2013 VW CC without soldering.
What we prepared:
Xhorse VVDI Mini Prog chip programmer
Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Max remote programmer
2013 VW CC PCB board (has removed the shell)
How to add new key?
Step 1: Read M95320 (pressure) EEPROM data by Mini Prog
Step 2: Prepare dealer key with Key Tool Max
Step 3: Write new EEPROM data back to VW CC by Mini Prog
Step 1: Read M95320 (pressure) EEPROM data by Mini Prog
Go to MINI PROG main menu, connect the available mini prog device
Press the Mini Prog VVDI with pin header at the appropriate chip of VW CC
Select “EEPROM and FLASH”-> ST-> M95XXX-> M95320 (pressure) to read EEPROM data
Note: If the pin detection failed, please press Mini Prog at the chip properly and try again.
Read data successfully and save the original data file. At the same time, it also shows “OK” with green tick at the top of VVDI Mini Prog which means read chip data successfully.
Step 2: Prepare dealer key with Key Tool Max
Switch to KEYTOOL MAX interface
Select “Special Function”-> Immo Data Tool-> Europe-> VW-> Passat-> Comfort ID48- 95320-> click “Start execution”
Go to local file and select the original M95320 (pressure) data file just saved in step 1
It starts to decrypt dump buffer…
Load file successfully, the corresponding PIN code appears on the screen
Place the new key into the coil of Keytool Max
Select an unused key position (key 4) and tap “Prepare dealer key”
Then select “Megamos 48” to program
Prepare dealer key successfully
Then save the new dump file with a new filename “key4M95320 (pressure)”
Step 3: Write new EEPROM data back to VW CC by Mini Prog
Return to MINI PROG main menu
Select “EEPROM and FLASH”-> ST-> M95XXX-> M95320 (pressure) to write EEPROM data
Follow the on- screen prompt to select the key4M95320 (pressure) file in the local file which has been saved in step 2
Press the VVDI Mini Prog with pin header at the appropriate chip of VW CC again to write data
Awesome! It writes the data into VW CC completely!
Result: Xhorse Mini Prog can work well with VVDI Key Tool Max to add new key to a 2013 VW CC no need moving chip and soldering.
