One customer gave feedback that he bought another Kessy module. He did backup by VVDI Key Tool Plus! Saved! Then he added dealer key, and wrote back file that he made dealer key new! But he got “Unknown error! Verification failed!” error message. He tried to put back the original file. He did backup and still same failed!
The solution:
Follow the steps below to operate again.
Check key before programming
Remove IC 93C86
Put the chip into the 93C86A (8PIN) Adapter, and connect the adapter to Key Tool Plus
Select Prog-> EEPROM and FLASH-> Brand List-> MICROCHIP-> 93CXX-> 93C86A (8PIN) (Adapter)-> Read-> EEPROM
Click “Begin”
Make sure the adapter and chip connected, then continue to start operation
Read data successfully, and save the file
Select Immo Data Tool-> Europe-> Porsche-> Kessy-> HITAG-93C86-> Begin
Load the file 93C86
Select one unused key position
Put the key into the coil of Xhorse Key Tool Plus
Click “PREPARE DEALER KEY”
Select “PCF 7936 (PCF 7946)”
Prepare dealer key successfully. It can start engine after write back new dump file
Add another new key, need to load the new data file, click “OK” to save the new dump file
Back to the main menu, select Prog-> EEPROM and FLASH-> Brand List-> MICROCHIP-> 93CXX-> 93C86A (8PIN) (Adapter)-> Write-> EEPROM
Click “Begin”
Select the new dump file to write back
Write the file successfully
Finally, learn the keys
